Twenty-seven BW students participated in the "Global Sport Industry" study abroad program, a transformative two-week experience in Ireland, the Netherlands and Germany, during the spring 2017 semester. The program provides an opportunity for students to get hands-on experience with leaders in the expanding global sport industry.
More than 400 first-year students welcomed to the Baldwin Wallace University campus this fall earned $6.1 million in merit scholarships for their outstanding high school achievements. BW grants a wide range of scholarships to current students each year. Including merit and need-based scholarships, BW students received over $45 million in financial support from the University for the 2017-2018 academic year.
The following students successfully completed BW's Sophomore Year Experience (SYE) program during the 2016-17 academic year. SYE is a living/learning community that links academic coursework with career preparation, exploration and real-world experience.

Five diverse cities, 35 compassionate Baldwin Wallace University students and one short spring break week added up to a world of difference. The BW Alternative Break service program gives students the opportunity to spend their breaks helping others. The spring student volunteers traveled to Clarkston, Ga., New Orleans, New York, Washington and Wheeling, W.Va. Each experience was led by a BW student with support from a University faculty or staff adviser.
More than 200 Youngstown State University students received awards and accolades for their leadership and campus involvement at the annual Student Awards Banquet. The event was April 20 on campus and was sponsored by YSU Student Government, Student Experience and Student Activities.

The faculty commemorated the occasion in full academic regalia as the university recognized high achievement of students and faculty members in academic and co-curricular activities.

A distinguished group of students at Baldwin Wallace University has reached BW's pinnacle of academic honor society achievement with Fall 2014 induction into the Dayton C. Miller Honor Society. Less than four percent of the undergraduate student body achieves membership in the society.
Dance Marathon is the largest philanthropy organization on campus. Lasting 12 hours, the marathon consists of performers, dance and education about HIV/AIDS. All proceeds were donated to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, which seeks to educate and reduce the the transmission and cases of pediatric AIDS worldwide.
UF's IHSA Equestrian Team member Ashley Winters competed June 28 in the NRHA Collegiate Reining Championships in Oklahoma City at the NRHA Derby where she won Reserve Champion.
